Default Helmet repairs???

Are there shops that does helmet repairs as in refitting in a new faceplate?

My helmet cost $250 and I pretty much broke the parts that swivels the faceplate up and down and scratched the plate surfaces when I had my accident.

Other than that the helmet is perfectly fine still, inside and out besides a few scratches on the chin and forehead part.

Are there shops that does helmet repairs?

Was it an Hjc Cl something or another lol. I had one of those and the cheap plastic snap broke off. Bought a Shoei Rf-1000 and love it. Not sure if anyone can fix it but you can get a new helmet for pretty cheap and probably same price someone would charge you to fix it.

$250 for a helmet isn't cheap on my checkbook

No I slammed face first onto the street so I'd have to say that helmet was quality because I did not feel a thing nor have a scratch at all neck on up.

I was surprised it didn't crack anywhere at all too. Just the little edge parts at the swivel base broke so the face shield will fall off if I bounce too much.

I guess a little duck tape and super glue will have to suffice with the face shield then?

Buy a new helmet. Helmets are made for single impact only. If you really hit the street hard, the foam protective padding will be crushed even if it looks fine. it sounds like the helmet saved you a lot of serious injury. Safety gear isn't the place to cut corners. Even if you get a cheap $80 helmet, it will be safer than a nice helmet that's taken an impact. Just my $.02

P.S. "BUT IF YOU HAD AN IMPACT BUY A NEW HELMET".............

I know helmets can be re-strapped. Not sure who does that job, but that is the person to ask. Maybe go to the company website??
