dude if your upgrading ur headlight go with the 10000 not the 8000 its DEFINATELY worth it I think, you can see alot further ahead. it makes alot of difference at night visually, and it also looks epoch. im sure the 8000 is bright and looks cool but in terms of actually seeing in front of you at night you can see further with the 10k

i heard that goin higher than the 8000 gets quite blue and its not as good as have'n some really white ones, unless have'n the 10000k with a 55w set up washes out the color a bit cause of the brightness of a 55w instead of a 35w is that what you think so it would be better to go higher on the K scale with a 55w kit?

LOL

No, actually, the 10K outputs less light. The brightest kit is 4300. If you want to be able to see really well and have a little blue, go with 6K.

the higher the rating the more blue they look... if you go really high they look purple...

lower ratings will have the most usable light... just youtube the ratings to see what i mean...

If I were you, I'd go with the 4300K. Theres not much point in going HID if your going to put out less light than a stock set up.

Even further, I'd suggest going with a projector kit. A friend of mine just put a set in his GSXR he bought on ebay for 150.00, and they are pretty good. I retrofitted a set of projectors from a caddilac into my bike, and his light up the road almost as well as mine do. They are so good, if they had the kits around when I did my retrofit, I would have just bought a set instead doing all the work I had to do. They are pretty easy to install as well.

The nice thing with the projector kit is, you have 2 low beams, and 2 high beams. Plus, there is no delay waiting for the highbeam to brighten, its instant brightness. Plus, you will have focused light. You won't have all of the stray light beams shooting everywhere that you will get by using HID's in your stock reflectors.
