Default Haven't seen alot of bikers here lately...

This heat has pretty much killed the riding season around here. It was 87 degrees when I went out at 8:30 PM. Between all the traffic and my full gear I just couldn't take it. I eventually had to pull over about 12 miles in to my ride and take my helmet, and jacket off and let my bike cool down for a good 15 minutes.

Hopefully my bike is just running hot because of the traffic and the heat and hopefully we will get some nice cool days soon!

It's getting too unbearable to ride during the day here in Utah, too. Went out for a short ride yesterday without my jacket and I still couldn't handle it. Felt like having a giant blow dryer blasting me.

Yah Philly is getting hit with back to back heatwaves. Was riding in Center City and ran into a friend so I stopped to talk. He kept going on and on wondering if I was hot, how could I stand it in the jacket, ect ect... Had me boggled. Was watching the news later that night and found out why. High temp that day was 103 actual

Still the only days I haven't ridden is when we get hit with t-storms

Edit:
Just got back from riding around since about 19:30. Weather icon on my desktop says the temp is currently 89 @ 22:28. Guess it cooled off some

Lets be honest here. It's not just the heat. Try having such a high humidity. I would kill for 116 degrees dry as hell in a desert on some days.

Ok, I'll be honest:
  1. I want to ride
  2. I won't ride without my gear

So I've been riding every day except when its pourin down when I leave in the AM.
