In '91 I had my first street bike for about 6 to 8 months before someone cut out/t-boned me and put me in the hospital for 3 weeks. Fourteen years later I bought my second street bike. You can bet I keep my eyes open!
Oh yeah - helmet saved my life!

ive been riding since janauary and i have dropped my bike 2 times, but never actually been down on it. those times were both within the first week when i didnt know how to balance the bike correctly, and i parked it on a hill.

My old F3 I flipped it over backwards doin about 70mph. That one put me out of work for about a week. I got side swipped in the turn lane about 5 months ago on my 02 F4i. The guy that hit me tried saying that he was doing what he was supposed to and I flipped out on him. At the end of it he had to Pay to have a huge 10 foot crease down his truck fixed and I didnt have to do anything cause nothing happened to my bike.

I've been riding, on and off, for about 15 years. So far, knock on wood, I haven't had an accident or layed a bike down. I have had several close calls, but nothing that has required any repairs. Of course, now that I say this, I'll end up sliding soon and the bike will get thrashed.

i almost looped it today practicin 2nd gear clutch ups goin about 70.....i didn't luckily and because of that damn close experience i walked away from the day learning the most about wheelies thus far. Now i can actually ride out 2nd gear until it redlines, now i just gotta work on balencing it and keepin the rpms down. Oh and i freakin cracked my upper cowl comin down too hard from almost flipping it so tonight im doing a little fiberglass repair and paint so it'll be like new tomorrow
