I just keep my bike as clean as I can. My bike is very nice for it's year and mileage, but not perfect. I did fix the little bit of rash it had when I got it so not I keep it even cleaner.

If you enjoy moding you bike then do it.

I'm **** about mine too. I keep it clean, bugs and road grime off as best and often as I can. I was irritated at myself when I was dismounted onceand my sidi boot hit the tail section and left a small red streak that's still there. [:@]

 

I nit pick my old bike to death but it aint perfect n prolly never will be. Mainly because lack of funds to make it so, 2 its a 8yo bike and when you ride twisties hard or attempt to in my case, you can expect to go down If not, you'll wake some day 8). I repair the majpr boo boos, funtion first then the cosmetics. My bike has batte scars I will prolly never fix too. When I buy a brand new bike yea I will try to keep it looking that way.

 

I am the last option in theory, mabey the "I just want to ride" in real life. like my bike isnt dirty, but there are bug spots on the front that wont come off with a simple rub down. as far as modding it, I dont even have turn signals on right now, I have been needing to buy some flush mounts but my pocket is alittle light at the moment, plus i am probably one the the worst procrastinators you will ever meet.

 

I got mine a new paint job and full exhaust, id love to get all silver powder coated black... But til i get the money and time ill stick to the $10k bike wash......lol

 

Is removing each and every fairing & peg bolt and painting them black ****?

yea because I would have bought a black fairing bolt kit b4 I went that far lol

except i find the paint doesn't hold up well and smudges rather easily within any tool...so to conquer that...i am buying a full bolt replacement kit from tastynuts that will change the bolt of any bolt that is visible to either annodized red or annodized blue (i don't like that i have to use blue, but that is the only color the titanium bolts come in and you can't use aluminum on high stress parts).....

yep i have painted bolts, washers so the edges don't show silver...i have even painted the clevus pins in the footpegs....i reassert...i have a problem...haha

as for everyone...i do ride my baby a bunch...so i am not doing ths to make a show bike although i may take out for shows...i do it just because i like to....if it gets messed up because i go down, at least i know what i did...a lot of the little things that i am saying make me **** will be things that won't get messed up....unless i trash the whole bike which is then a different story....

i just like making it different....and if i am going to do it, i guess do it right.....right??

oh well...have to hurry up and finish up at work so i can go and put another coat on my rear MC and SS lines...

 

I am a bill collector so I am very **** about everything. My bikes, my car, my house and even how clean my dog is. I can not stand dirty out of place stuff.
