Default Hate to convoy...

.... with other type of bikes. I always prefer to convoy with sportsbikes where the ride will be pretty fast and more exciting. Next weekend I had been called to marshall a convoy trip about 800km consist of 50 bikes, all kind of bikes. Choppers, cruisers, wingers ..... The choppers will be doing mostly 130km/h in the freeway and you have to maintain with them. Arghhhh........

when my buddies and i ride in a group, we always go the speed limit, or under. Unless the flow of traffic forces us to speed up.

Dont feel bad,,, I was in the toys for tots run out here in Fort walton beach FL. Well, My battery died just as we were suppose to pull out of the SAMS parking lot!!!! There were around 1500 bikes. 10% of them being sport bikes. The rest were cruisers.

I have a group of friends thatare trying to organize into a formal club. We have one guy that was granfathered in because he had a sportbike before, but he now has a cruiser. When we went out with him a few months back, he jsut could not hang in the turns (15-35 mph) because of his pipes. We weren't even going fast. Other than that I don't mind (like if we are parked or in a parade).

I know how you feel man. I only like to ride with sport bikes myself. I like to just enjoy the ride, but when it's time to rock I want to be able to have everyone on the same page.

I know a couple of guys on Harleys and wingers that could give most sportbike riders a run for their money...

Definately not hte rule, rather the exeption, still its very impressive when you see a Goldwing dragging hard parts in anger, and keeping up with the knee draggers.
