holy ****.... better off just landing is grass or something.. you would think someone would have thought that those mattresses would have been sucked in

They did. Did you see all the straps on the mattresses?

now i do.i didnt realize they strapped them to the ground like that i just thought they had them wrapped up together

haha

pretty sure that's fake since exhaust gasses of jet engines are well above 1100 degrees at the turbine. that's why you never see a harrier hovering above grass. catches on fire too easily.

a harrier only has enough water to hover for 90 seconds or so, after that the water that is used to cool the engines is used up(True lies lol) so I can only imagine this pilot had to act fast before causing some serious engine troubles. Looks like he fell first, then the mattresses proceeded into the engines, makes more sense, kinda hard to suck them in when the intakes are a few feet off the ground pointed straight ahead, not down.
Cool series of pictures tho, they look authentic to me.

I work with Aircraft, I cant begin to imagine who the guy was that thought this was a good idea. Makes for good pics though.

Probably since jets tend to suck up a ton of fuel in a short time.
