Besides my 600F, I also own a Harley and the HD reference is just about true. Even among the Harley riders, that statement is made a lot. Talk to a Harley owner for a few minuets and ask him/her about the Harley "TAX". If they don't know what you mean they don't have to worry about the HP either.
On a side note, you guys think you get ousted by the Harley crowd for owning sportbikes? Try owning a Sportster. Sportster owners have a bike that is lighter, faster,more agile, more powerful, and better stopping than any other Harley made but yet owners of the bigger bikes treat us like we are riding Vespas or something. I just love picking on the 'tards. They really hate getting their asses handed to them by a "Girl's Bike".
