had no brake pressure
so i was driving down a halfway bumpy road and i was kinda getting on it. then all of a sudden i had the worst tank slapper i have ever had(and i have had soem bad ones).
the steering threw my hands of and was slapping fully back and forth about 15 times. and then cluctch it and rode it(wasnt easy). and so then i was like wow wtf why did that happen, i didnt even do anything. so i rolled up to the light coming up and i sqeezed the front brake and there was nothing there. then i did it again and i felt a lil pressure then it came back. why ould it do that. i did not fall or really get the bike on a weird angle. just wondering if something may have gotten messed up. everything seems fine tho.

you proly shook your res (sence its on the bars) so hard that the brake fluide just made bubbles in there (somtimes the rubber in the cap doesnt fully stop that) and then it sucked in air.. dont worry about it your fine.. talk slappers are usually caused by summthing messed up in the suspension..... if you got your bike used, try putting all the dampning and compression settings back to stock.. it helped me ALOT!
There are some many factors involved in tank slappers, modern equipement on bikes can only go so far, even steering dampers can fail.
I once hit a pot hole that caused the retaining bolts on the damper to shear off. not only ended up with a tank slapper, but had the steering damper flaying around like a club. Anything that can cause the bike to go light at the front (like a pot hole or major bump) will induce some reaction from the front wheel.
Just check out that everything is ok, like head bearing and your front wheel.
And yeah, don't they scare the crap out of you!
