It is when some one takes their hand, puts it under their chin (with their palm down) and proceedes to move said hand from under their chin outwards towards in an "Oh Really..OKAY...F*%$ YOU" motion!!! Some people say it is the "Italian F*%$ YOU". Do you get the picture??? Italian Without Words: Using Hand Gestures in Conversation #4

This gesture, often called the "chin flick," is widely used among Italians and persons of Italian ancestry. It is a gesture of contempt, somewhat less rude than giving a person "the finger." When used in the United States, it usually means "Bug off, I've had enough of you." Not a polite gesture, but not a particularly hostile one, either.
Then there's also the thumb bite thing.....

One hand gesture my mother taught me was "cutis." It has an Indian (Hindu) meaning accosiated with it. First, make your hand into a fist with the thumb sticking out. Second, hold up your thumb to your two front teeth, put the nail into your mouth, and flick it. While doing this say "Cutta". It is basically **** you and your family too.
This is described as Indian, but I've also seen it done by the french and Italians. I thought the english did it too??

"I bite my thumb at you, sir!" lol..

That would be an old school gem to see as well. Maybe I'll try to bring it back.

The Italians have a whole non-verbal language. I was there for about 2.5 years and it is amazing. Everyday actions mean horrible things.. <- this one is HORRIBLE. If you do this to a man, it means your wife/girlfriend is not faithful and everyonme knows but you! (using worse terminology). Ciao!
