Here are a couple of my babies: Springfield Armory 1911A1 45 cal. in stainless,
and my bushmaster AR15 modular carbine, this puppy is decked out, I've got $3,000.00 into it. Holographic sight's are the coolest.
I can hit a line of bottles while I'm jogging through a field with this gun!!
And thats another of my toys 4x4 Hpi savageX.

You would be surprised at the damage a 22 will do. Consistantly ranked as one of the deadliest rounds cuz of the way it bounces around inside your body, doing way more damage than a "thru" shot. I keep a browning 22 for home defense. Not knock down power, but if you really want to kill someone in your house, and not be worried that your accidentaly going to kill s/one a half mile away, a 22 is perfect.
I also keep a moss 12 g pump w/a pistol grip/short barrel cuz i don't really have to aim it, and i know i won't accidentally kill the peeps next door !

RE: Guns
I live in CA and don't feel comfortable listing my weapons due to the high volume of anti gun freaks where I live. It's nice to know there are folks out there interested in firearms.
If you get the chance, Sunday mornings on the Outdoor channel on cable, there's a show called Personal Defense TV. They showed some good tactical techniques that I thought were useful and entertaining.

RE: Guns
but if you really want to kill someone in your house
In my handgun safety class they would frown upon using a .22 for home defense. It just doesnt do the trick. More often than not an intruder has a weapon of his own, and you want to stop him a.s.a.p. They even frowned upon using a 9mm, saying that was not enough knock down power. You wont find any police officer carrying a .22 or even a 9mm thesedays, usually a .40. Yes a .22 will kill someone but if someones charging at you with a knife those bullets wont even slow him down, unless you shoot him right under the nose, drop like sack of taters!! But in those circumstances its very hard to aim and concentrate. I was taught to aim into the chest and ALWAYS double pump your trigger firing 2 rounds. With my .45 he should come off his feet, WOOT!!

RE: Guns
Note to self: don't break into bushmasters house !! I bought the 22 cuz my wife was good w/it too, and was really uncomfortable w/the bigger bore handguns. I personally would grab my shorty pump if i really thought s/one was in my house, but i needed s/thing she would shoot w/out being afraid of it. A lot of people think a 22 is like a bb gun, and bigger has to be better/deadlier when thats not always the case. A cop friend once told me he'd rather be shot w/a 9mm than a 22. Figured he had seen people get shot w/both to say s/thin like that.
