Hey 420, you have a side rail on the LH side of the action? My SKS does and I also have a folding stock that someone cut the **** outta to get the action to sit in properly. As for all the additional gadgets, screw that, these are cheap simple military rifles that are ment to shoot 100~150 yards. These arent sniper rifles so just save the cash and just get a stock.

Dont even think about getting those stupid duckbull 30rd mags either! Ill slap you from here, these rifles work awesome with 10rd stripper clips.

yeah ill be hunting with it, wild hogs. Maybe a few coyotes. I mostly just like the way the guns look with the aftermarket stocks. Saw a guy at the pawn shop yesterday pay 960$ for an sks with aftermarket stock, scope, and a bipod. Other than that it was just an sks. What a tool, he could have bought a rifle and put all that on it himself and saved a ton of money. Hey Ta8218, I'd love to see the pics.

For hunting I believe you'll need to limit it to 5 rds. but if you want to have some fun at the range, go with a 20 rd. USA BRAND < (important) mag.
OR find one of the extremely rare preban 75 rd. drum mags imported from china.

WTF? Is that a SKS-D ta8218? Does that SKS accept AK mags or is that a duckbill drum?

SKS is a great deer rifle. Have taken many with mine. One of the better rifles I've hunted with when in thick woods where you can't see for more than 50 yds. Sights just feel natural when the gun is raised (read: EZ target acquisition). For hunting over a field I havea .303 British with big honkin scope.

No, its a true Yugoslavian SKS. that's a 400 dollar duckbill SKS drum mag. They cost stupid money.

Edit: here's a link to one if you want. 259 starting bid. Great price if it stays at that.

Edit again, no thats a fake. Someone welded an AK drum to an SKS mag. Eh... lets see, ok this one IS real:

No problem, man. I've still got a scope mount that replaces the top cover too, haven't installed it yet. You should buy a drum for it too.
