I have a $75 Wal mart special, and besides the fact that it is heavy as hell,
it can take the trails just as good as my buddie's $500 Gary Fisher
(I love full suspension)
Wally World Has some pretty good $300 scwin w. fill suspension
and front/rear disk brakes (wish I had those)

Disks are nice, and in the past few years they have rethought the geometry of the frame, headset and stem for the handlebars on most bikes. makes them exponentially easier to ride.

well i just got back from another 7 mile ride..usually go after work..the problem with my stupid redline is my town is built on hills, i have to climb 4 steep long hills to get back home. im going to look at a few local places tomorrow and hopefully i can buy one.

If you're currently climbing hills on a BMX bike, expect the amount of weight loss to go down when you actually have an efficient bike lol. might have to ride the loop twice to stay on the same pace!
