going to chop it off !
No, no, not what you are thinking. But that one does get me into a lot of trouble.[&:]
My new windscreen makes my bike look like it has a five-head.
Having a fourhead with nothing in it is bad enough...
Look at the avatar: how should i go about doing this?
I think i'm not even going to detach it first. i will prolly just pull a string across where i am going to make the cut and throw a hacksaw on it.
thoughts?

it will have to come off to smooth it on a belt sander it something or else it will look like crap. mark it on the bike, you can cut it on the bike, but you will have to finish it off the bike.

add a piece of 1/4" rubber tubing, slit down the edge to trim it off.
