Going to the freakin dentist...grrrrr

I guess if I went more often I wouldn't have to suffer all the drilling and crap.

 

I used to have the most terrible fear as a child but now I am not fearful ..it's still not my idea of recreational therapy but I just don't fear it anymore ... funny how you change

I don't mind myself, never had a single cavity and kinda enjoy the way my mouth feels after one of their cheanings. The doc always tells me that I have great teeth and to take care of them.

 

I have bad teeth too, thank god for sedation.

You know what pisses me off the most about dentists? I swear, for their own damn amusement, they decide to strike up conversation with you at the most awkward moment, like 5 minutes into drilling into a molar while they have both hands in your mouth. And I'm not talking yes or no question. Every dentist I've ever been to has the same routine. They don't have a hell of a lot to say before and after they are elbow deep in your face, but once you open up, BLEH! Like they aren't having enough fun watching the stupid faces you make while they are working? Damn you dentists.

 

I actually used to look forward to going to the dentist...me and my brother would fight about who got to go in first haha.I still don't mind going but don't get that excited[&:]

 

i dont mind as long as im not getting drilled, last time i went i had some cavities filled and for some reason the first 2 doses on novacaine didnt do anything to numb me so two more and and the whole right side of my face was numb for like 5 hours, worst part is i didnt eat breakfast and was starving but couldnt eat till i could feel my face haha

 

I dont like going, my most recent visit, a couple of weeks ago, filling & a clean. Once the shot had worn off, owwwwwwwwwwwww, thought it as just the usual settling period, but after a week had to go back, Dentist said could not find anything wrong, took more X-rays, nothing showed up.
Another week went by, woke up with a badly swollen gum, so turned out to be an infection, hurt, but at least I knew wot it was. I always think of the Little Shop of Horrors or Marathon Man.
