so i havent rode for about 3 weeks now becuase my sprocket has 0 teeth and my chain is shot. today i got new sprockets and a chain. so im all excited and i was forsure going to get my bike running today. now i realize i dont have a bike stand to life my wheel..i quickly thought of a brilliant(but stupid) idea of using 2 car jacks! well it worked great. i only lifted it enough to get the tire off the ground. so i take my wheel off, replace the sprocket and also polish tha rim!! next i try to put on the chain, but it was too small. so im all bummed out.. i went back to the shop and they dont have any 530 chains in stock which was very surprizing. so i had to get it special ordered.. so now i gotta wait 1 more week to get my bike running again.

 

While you wait buy a rear stand :P

 

what shop doesn't have a 530 chain? I have two sitting in the shed and one 520 chain. Use milkcrates or 2x4's. Car jacks are tricky (got a flat tire a long ways from home once) and they can be tipped over easy. My rear stand is great I would also recomend one. but I would build something that won't tip so easy if you don't have the money.

WTH kind of bike shop doesn't carry a 530 chain?! That'd get me pretty ticked too...

 

it was kinda hard getting a clear shot of all the broken teeth. but i did my best haha. want a picture of my chain too? lol

 

there were, but it was bought with my girlfriends credit card and she wasnt with me when i went to return it so i couldnt go to another shop. i just had to stick with them..
