Hazards of the job. Got two drunks in tonight and both are gonna sue. One was mouthy and got twisted up, then then discovered he had warrants. The other just wants a blanket cause his blood is too thin... So they both want my job. Man if I got a dollar every time someone said they were gonna sue I*d be rich.

 

Shrug it off, move along.
Maybe a counterthreat of resisting arrest would help.....

(I get 'em from relatives, not criminals) Criminals seem to know better, after a while...

 

what do you guys do? never worked a job to get threats just yet.

I am a correcional peace officer... I babysit the badguys that batman rounds up... babbling idiot drunks to murderers.

 

ahh.. I see. right on brother! thanks for everything u do. I applied for Corrections but I backed out before I took any tests or interviews. Seems like a hard job.. and I kinda pictured it would be like you were in jail yourself.

 

My cousin and uncle were in that business...you have to be a special breed to put up with that job everyday.

 

We sort of do a life sentence... just in eight hour stints. And you are right it does take a special breed. After a while your sense of humor can become very dark. It can be an exceptionally negative enviroment. Thanks to all of you on the forum for being a balancing force! At least I can laugh about the threats.

 

Ill send a dollar if you post up the video. ooh or a video of drunk people getting tazed...... no..... thats not right.
