Default Geico cracks me up

OK, So I have my car insurance with geico and i have my motorcycle insurance with progressive. Well, the other day, i was bored at work so I decided to get a full coverage quote with geico since i have my car covered with them. It was like 800 bucks.

I'll pass...

So today, I get a phone call from geico.

"Hi I saw you recently got a quote from us?"

"yes sir i did. i thought it was a bit much..."

"well the reason why it was so expensive because it looked like you got the full coverage quote. Full coverage is always expensive for a motorcycle. You don't need that much insurance for your bike"

"yes I do..."

"oh, well, i've got a bike too. they're fun aren't they?"

"yep"...

"well ok, just following up with your quote. if you have any more questions feel free to call us"

what a douche. lol. i thought this was funny enough to share.

Come on FLY, This is coming directly from an insurance company. They must have information thatbacks up that claim.Trust em and get liability only full coverage is overkill.

Those asshats will try to sell anything even if it means putting their customer in a bad spot later on down the road.

right now i only have liability. if my bikes get stolen, too bad. if i low side it off a cliff, too bad.

Plus, this post scares the hell out of me:

Clicky

it's a sticky post in the new riders section for a reason

What is the price difference for liability compared to full coverage? I never even checked into liability cause full coverage with towing, rental and uninsured was only $780 for a year.

Also I think its funny the google ads that pop up on this Geico bashing thread is for Geico.

For me liability was like 250 bucks a year... full coverage is 250 bucks a month...and I'm sure glad I had it when my bike got jacked *prices through Progressive for a 24 yo, no accidents, no lien on the bike

Geico's full coverage is expensive in texas. I have my cage and bike on geico liability. Both are $50 a month. Full coverage bike with a $500 deposit is around $4k year. 22 and no bike wrecks/tickets

My rate with State Farm is 440 bucks a year for full coverage on a 2007 CBR600RR.
But I also have a home policy, two life insurance policies, & two vehicles.
Which gives me excellent discounts.
