Default Gas price prediction.

Oil is at $91.56 a barrel. I believe that is for 45 gallons, not 55 gallons. I am guessingregular unleadedgasoline will be $3.15 at theWHOLESALE level (commodityprice) at the NYMEX. I am not counting taxes or local mark-ups becauseit makes it too hardto confirm. Current price is $2.24 per gallon.

The winner gets a prize. Not sure what it is, maybe a Starbucks Gift certificate or something.

Our pals in Europe have been paying about 6 bucks for years. I'm guessing BP won't be satisfied until we are paying the same in the US.

Mountain, I just did an edit to clarify. This is prices before taxes or local mark-ups.

I think gas, pre-markup will run to about $3.36. Thankfully Jersey pays the lowest (maybe 2nd lowest) tax on gas in the nation.

My prediction is that gas will be $1.50 a gallon. Do I have any real evidence to back up this prediction? No. I'm just f_cking pissed that gas was under $1.00 / gal when I started driving, and that was only 10 years ago!

Gas hasn't kept with inflation for a long time and it is still relatively off. Yeah, we see it as expensive, but compared to what the rest of the world pays, we don't have it so bad. My next whip will be a diesel. Does anyone know if there is a diesel bike? Oh, and I voted for over $4.00 per gallon.

Its not exactly cheap out here in So Cal....

About the european gas prices...I've heard the taxes that bring the cost up so high goes to things like health care, instead of just ending up in some Texan's wallet.
