So i went ahead and got all new galfer brakes, Rotors,lines, pads the whole deal well the other day i was cleaning the back rotor on my stand and i sniped the end of my finger right off.. Well two surgreys later and i am down to the first nuckel... And lots of pain med's. So to you all be carefull i wasnt spining the tire very fast and it still tooke a bunch of it off..

 

Yikes!! I cannot even imagine the pain of that. Hope you heal up without any problems... and thanks for the warning.

that's going to leave a mark. I'm missing the tips of 3 fingers due to a on the job elevator accident back when I was 16. When it happen, my body went into shock and I felt nothing. The real pain is when they 1st remove the bandages. Not a good thing.

Where were your fingers when you spun the wheel? I've heard of guys losing fingers by putting the bike in gear to clean the chain, but never just by spinning it by hand. Do tell.

 

Kid, hope you heal up well. Actualy had a friend, that did the chain, bike in gear, finger amputation... It's not a urban myth !!!!!

yeah i was spining it by hand. If you have ever felt those rotors they are sharp as he$$. My finger went into one of the little holes and the next thing i remember my finger was on the ground.. Didnt hurt untill i got half way to the hospital.. Sucks though because now i cant even ride my bike untill it heals. The pain is so much now. Thanks guys.. The Kid
