Can I wear steel toe boots or will they go ape****? Southwest

You'll probably have to remove your boots and let them inspect them to make sure they're not shoe bombs.
(And do this at gunpoint... lol)

I know. Aint that a bitch. One dude tries to use his shoe as a bomb and we have to check everyones shoes now.

I didnt have a problem with American Airlines a couple weeks ago, you still have to take them off at the metal scanner along with your wallet, belt, ect and scan that stuff through the xray but they did not give me a hard time with steel toe shoes!

I fly quite often for business, and typically, I am needed at the ship yard as soon as I step off the plane, so I normally come to the airport wearing my metataursal steel toe boots. And yes, just like shoes, you need to take them off to walk through security, but I've never had an instance where they've additionally searched my boots. and definitely never had a problem with an airline making a stink about wearing boots on the plane.
