First ride with wife
This weekend, me and my wife took our first ride together. It was a pretty sentimental moment because she has owned a bike for over 18 months, and no....we have never rode together. As some of you already know, we are both military, and have two children. That takes up the majority of our time, so we both usually just ride to work (2 different Army posts). Not really much time any other time. Anyhow, This past weekend, her Battalion threw a picnic on the other side of the Island, and she asked me if I was going to ride? I said "I dont know , why" She said "cuz I wanna ride with you".
pause....
The childcare thing is now taken care of. My wife deploys to Iraq in December, so her cousin volunteered to move here and take care of the kids. Sweet deal.....for us all.
Anyway....so we take off riding. Of course im nervous as hell, watching her in my rear view the whole time. After all, shes my wife, and the mother of my kids beforeshes a fellow biker. I was surprised she didso well. I was impressed. We even got rained on, hard, damn near allthe way there. It was about a 30 mile trip. She maintained agood, safe following distance, and negoitated her corners well. The only negative thing I could say about the ride, was that she didnt switch lanes when I did, so we kinda blocked both lanes one time.[:@] I explained it to her once we got there, and she was tight on the way home. I know some of you may say this was a gay post. I thought it was a pretty cool ride. Sherides an 02 GSX-R 750 btw.

Nothing gay in the least, I thought it was awesome. Made me remember the first real ride I ever did with my dad. Him on his 883 Sportster and me on my Ninja500. We rode for nearly an hour and I was grinning the whole time. I just kept thinking, "almost 30 years and I'm finally riding with my dad". Awesome post.

There is nothing Gay about this post mate ..AT ALL!!
It sounded really nice ..the family that rides together stays together ..
My ex flapped off the back of my ride for 12 years ..
My new misses of 6+ years also rides on the back near every time I crack out the CBR
It must be kool to see your misses cruising along behind
BTW ...Tell her to safe over in Iraq...

That's awesome man...not gay whatsoever
I love that your wife rides a bike. I've been trying to convince my girlfriend to take the MSF course to get the hang of it and see if she wanted a bike (which I have offered on more than one occasion to pay for) but she still won't bite.

Thanks for the love fellas. Yea, its really cool to have her as a fellow rider. The day I brought my bike home, she looked at it and said, "I want one now". So we got her one. I try to dress her bike up a lil. We have matching Joe Rocket Jordan Jackets, and the same custom helmets in different colors. Its pretty cool to be able to do that.
