Today was my first group ride and I had a blast! We went down a few roads I had never been on before and I really got to rip through them. It was different riding with a group since they set a pace and I had to try and keep them in sight. Nothing to extreme but it was different to say the least. Everyone else had 1000's (and one 250 but his real bike was out of comission or something) which made it hard to keep up but one guy stayed back and kept me in check.

fun fun fun fun fun but I didn't get their contacts so it may be awhile till I ride with them again, which I am looking forward to.

 

group riding is awesome and really prepares for track days etc....just watch who u run with cuz your **** grows 10x bigger and ill have buddies who wanna run at like 120 in 40 mph zones....

 

Welll I gave up keeping the pace with the R1's and since I wasn't the slowest guy out there (thank god for the 250 ) I didn't feel comletely out of place. On the striaghts we got up to triple digits (once I think) but we generally kept the speeding (in town) to a minimum. I am super stoked and want to go ride even more!!!

 

dont worry too much about keeping up with everyone, just make sure you ride at yur won pace, you dont want to excede your skill. group rides are a blast gives a whole new meaning to riding when you ride with 5, 10 or even 25. 25 is the biggest group ride i was on.

1st mistake is right there in this statement. Ride your own pace and meet up with them at the turns and stop signs. One of the main causes of crashes on group rights is because of people forgetting to leave their ego at home. Just ride YOUR pace that YOU are comfortable with. If the others are worth a **** they will understand and wait.
