I've recently been replaying (forabout the 5th time)through star ocean 2 (ps1) and it got me to thinking about all my favorite games of all time, which no matter how many times ive gone through them, never get old. Heres my top 4 (for some reason, i couldnt decide on a 5th)

1. Final Fantasy VII-PS1 (Cliche i know, but it was the game that initially got me into RPGs)
2. Star Ocean 2-PS1 (Just a hair below FFVII IMO)
3. Super Mario RPG-SNES (Square andNintendo making a game together =WIN)
4. Phantasy Star IV-GEN (Nothing much to say here, just completely awesomeness)

Yea, they're all old school, but i probably love these games more than any other thats out today (except possibly COD4)Whats yours? Im intersted to see, perhaps check out some gems that ive missed over the years...

 

oh, and Pong too .. that one was freakin sweet!

 

GTA anything! Even the old 2D ones were fun to pass time. Otherwise I used to realy like the Medal of Honor series too.

super mario, and galaga for sure. my mom had a job at a place w/galaga ...played it all the time.

 

Since we are doing the retro thing: Goldeneye and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (The original Zelda kicked ***, but the 64 version was a new revolution, like playing mario 64)

Out of new(er) games, I would have to say Halo from start to finish. COD4 does own, and GTA IV is killer with MP. Of course, Rock Band is also the ****.

 

madden sucks...i would much rather dust off my old copy of ESPN NFL 2K5 (best football game ever i think) than play the half assed attempts by EA (monopolizing bastards)
