Yeah, BIOSHOCK is fackin awesome. It was actually the reason I bought an xbox 360 (well, that and COD4). Lotsa jumps and surprises, and the little girls that harvest life force from corpses are creepy as hell. A good one for gritty, brutal,"Holy Christ!" type violence is Condemned 2: Bloodshot...awesome game once you change the controls to regular FPSsetup.

Okay...Res. Evil 1 FTMFW. I lost my scary game virginity to that one, and it will always be my favorite. I have to give a close second to Silent Hill because of the absolutely creepiest monsters EVER!!! I loved Doom III because you could either have your flashlight and see what was going on, or your weapon...bastards!!!

A couple of the silent hill games were pretty spooky. Whenever i play games its usually late at night with all the lights out.. I really tend to put myself into the games so even if its not a really scary game (eg. metal gear solid 4 I just recently played)they still tend to get my heart pumping. I dont know if anyone has played Bio-Shock yet, but i downloaded and played the demo, with all the stuff that jumps out at you, it was scary ****.
