RE: F YOU INSURANCE!
seriously man, shop around before you get your riding pants in a bunch . j/k JD, but really......different insurance co.'s will have different rates, and the differences in price can sometimes be pretty large. dont just give up on getting that bike b/c of the high insurance, shop around and see if you can still get it. i almost BET you'll find something affordable.

RE: F YOU INSURANCE!
JD, i have 2 accidents, no tickets, im 23......$250 deductible and i pay full coverage on a '08 600RR $65 a month through statefarm. statefarm for some odd reason (given my record, im NOT COMPLAINING) doesn not hold motorcycle accidents against you, they wont even drop you, raise your rates....nothing. trust me, i know .
but really, i have a friend that works there whom i also ride w/ and she told me all the above, not to mention i've seen it w/ my own eyes, lol
shop around man.

RE: F YOU INSURANCE!
I probably should not get into this...
but, i don't believe in insurance on toys (most of our bikes are toys, unless you have no other daily ride that you can use if something happens)
I also don't believe in financing toys. save up, pay cash, kick your self if something happens and worry about health insurance instead.
insurance companies are for profit organizations, meaning they have done the math, its like betting against the house at a casino, in the long run, their profit comes from your pockets.
I know i am going to get flamed for this, but seriously, if you can afford payments, you can save up, an 03 600rr is not that expensive if you buy private. from a stealer ship is a different story, but that is another argument.

RE: F YOU INSURANCE!
It sucks to insure things, but I cannot even register mine in Nebraska without having insurance. It is a great piece of mind for me anyways. I have had the same insurance rep since I was 16, and he ended up giving me a decent rate for my bike. Persistance. You will find something.
