EVERYONE be careful out there
Riding season is young and everyone is getting the bikes out.
At home I work at outback, where I have been since november 2008. I got on facebook and all of the employees are saying rip and we love you____. I texted someone from home to see what happened.
A 17 year old busser died. I looked him up and he seems like the coolest kid in the world. I worked with him maybe twice so I didn't know him that well. His profile picture was him on a 636. Of course, that was my assumption of how things ended.
The person I was texting confirmed this. He lived in a urban area and apparently a truck didn't see him. I don't have exact details but put the two together.
So everyone BE CAREFUL, watch your ***, try to control the urge to twist your wrist all the way. 17 years old? That's an eye opener.

When I was that age I worked at a family-owned restaurant various positions, bussing tables, waitressing, dishwashing, helping the prep cook (wherever they needed my help).... The manager I worked with most in the evening rode a sport bike (I want to say it was a 1100xx super blackbird, but it was so long ago now, I'm not for certain) to work sometimes even in rain and snow.. I wanted a bike something horrible... There's no way I could have afforded a motorcycle working there... maybe if it were ready for the scrap heap and my dad fixed it up for me, but he would not have done that for me at that age.

Some young people I knew died early. One was a only child in the family, very good water man, certified in lifeguard, good free diver. Not sure what happened, but one second he was ok head out of the water with his mask and snorkel, next second he was gone. By the time we found him, he was blue. His parents said he always loved water, boating. RIP at 20. My friend fell from her apartment to instant death. She was like my little sister. She was in 20s too.
Their death made me want to be more careful and more aware of what's going on, but at the same time made me follow my heart and live.
It's too bad that these people had to go so young... I feel for their family too
