Default Ever have that really akward moment silence

So last week my ex was bugging me she wanted to go for a ride (ironically the girl who i used to take crap from every time i went out on 2wheels dated a guy with a touring setup for awhile and loves it now) so this morning i tell her i'll come get her and we'll go to this breakfast place up by me, nothing weird i grew up with her older brother and we were real good friends before we dated and now she is more like a little sister to me.

So leaving the breakfast place she wants me to put her phone in my pocket since the pockets in her jacket are stuffed with girl crap, ride 30 miles back down to her place and both forget the phone. This afternoon she comes up to get it with her friend derek, which to say nicely he "bats for the other team" if you catch my drift. He starts asking about my dodge, i know he knows nothing about cars trucks anything but he's trying to be friendly and seemed a bit intimidated by me and just the way i talk and what not so i entertain him and explain about the chips and how they are stacked, intake exhaust, lift tires etc, and i go the biggest selling factor for me was the built tranny...

He starts giggling and i just think to myself ah crap here we go, he goes "built tranny? i was with a built tranny the other night, may call him tonight" and heres where the akward moment of silence comes in which seemed like 15 minutes when katie bust in and says ya know i gotta get back and let the dog out, i'll talk to you later lets go derek, they pulled away and i hit the ground rolling. Can honestly say its really rare i can be taken off gaurd and not come up with anything to say... but the words escaped me today lol

I might have came back with 'That is what he said' or something similar. Being caught off guard is rare but nice some times.

Not meaning to threadjack, but , this reminds me of a story from jail... I had to take an offender on a medical escort...he was observed shoving a toothbrush into his rectum and did some damage to himself. Try to keep a straight face explaining that one to the doctor, anyways, he had to go for a colonoscopy to determine if surgery was necessary. The escort carried into the lunch hour so my partner grabbed lunch for both of us...a burger and onion rings. Great...lunch and a movie!
Sorry if the mental images are disturbing...but reality was not pleasant either. We tried to explain dental hygiene but I think he was dyslexic.

haha i had one of those moments last night at a party. a bunch of us were outside on the deck chatting when more ppl showed up. on kid was looking for a shot glass and i pointed it out to him but told him he might want to wash it out, ya never know whose nuts were in it. he turns to me and says "i would like that if it were true" i did not know he "putts from the rough" so to speak. everyone went silent for about 5 minutes. he walked inside an i fell over laughin because it was unexpected.

He didn't leave it in...he was just scrubbing and poked a hole in the lining.
He was just missing his boyfriend.
