Question eBay - Authentic or Fake?

Hey all...I've been riding ICON for some times now & have 2 pairs of ICON STRONGARM 1st generation. Gotta say I love them. I wear them everywhere not just riding... the denim feels strong, feels like it will last forever. After repeatedly washing them, color fade little but still in great shape.

Now I'm looking at the ICON Strong Arm 2...I would think it's better, right? These runs for over $100

but why this listing is only $65 shipped from HK.

Do you think it's fake being from Hong Kong/CHINA.

Assuming like 99% of american products it is made overseas.
You might be lucky and these fell off the back of the boat on the way over?

I was given a pair of A*star gloves which came from Italy - they were made in Viet Nam ! Many companies have their stuff made overseas as the labour costs are so much lower, and they have "over-runs" - these are often sold without the "brand" owner's permission, but the quality is generally the same.
I've had good results with purchases from Asia. What annoys me is the difference in price - how much mark up are the brand owners making if the Asian items are half the price and they still make a good living ?! FWIW

I myself wonder about the quality of these hong kong made products, which is why I have avoided buying anything from there till now. Let me know if you choose to grab some stuff and how the quality actually is

Concern is that China can copy anything so identical that you won't know the difference....unless I have a real pair to compare with?

I have bought stuff on ebay from china and what not, and the quality has been pretty good. I have bought the Oakley gloves they have pictured in the description, and they held up well over the last two seasons of riding. Great for warmer weather.

Unless there are 2 i's in Icon I'm betting there knock-offs. Look at the emblem on the rear pocket. Doesn't look right to me, but I'm not real familiar with the brand.

lots of retail stores try to do 50-100% markup on everything, but it costs a lot to maintain a brick and mortar store. Add in shipping, tarriffs, taxes, customer communication, etc, that markup shrinks.... really it only costs the manufacturer(not icon) 10-20 bucks to make those jeans, with indentured servant labor, no environmental regulation, osha, in the 3rd world country of your choice.

pics look to be pulled right off icons site, and probably legit however these may be like the 'less than perfect' pair you would can find at ross or some outlet stores. Or just extra stock, the manurfacturer is selling on the side.
