Default DVD subtitles

Has anyone else had this happen? I've noticed on some of the more recent DVD's that I rent that the spanish subtitles are automatically starting and you have to go into the menu options and turn them off. I think it's total BS!

cago en su leche, hehehe. i have had that happen before, but it was a long time ago. i didnt care too much about the spanish part, just the fact that they were on by default. maybe your dvd player has a default setting that has been changed?

I rent from blockbuster but some that I've bought new from best buy are doing the same thing. every damn time I play the movie there are damn spanish subtitles! you have to manually turn them off! I don't think that's right. they are they for all the mexicans that want to understand what's being said since they won't just learn english and be done with it, but don't have them set to turn on automatically! Hell it's bad enough that you have to sit through the 3-4 different language warnings before it even goes to the menu! which they have programmed so that most DVDs you can't skip through, just BS!
