Default Ducati 848

Not sure if this is old news or not but stumbled across this while surfin. http://www.topspeed.com/motorcycles/...o-ar41342.htmlPretty much just a baby 1098, wonder what it"llbe likeperformance wise my guess is that it will be on par with the Jap 600s. And if the price is the same as a Jap literbike i'm sure it'll be a success. Sex on wheels as far as i am concerned.

sick...I love anything Italian, especially with a motor, but I could never bring myself to endure the ridiculously short time between dealer maintenance visits---taking your sexiest bike into the shop every two months just so some grubby amateur can fondle her deepest curves---I'd rather pay to go to Ducati tech school and do it myself...

...not all Ducati techs are like that, but I'd be damn sure to at least get to know the guy before I leave my wife with him...

Yeah Italian design, don't know how, but they certainly know how to craft something beautifull & sexy into just about anything. Then they going do something really idiotic, like 4 different keys on the one bike (1st Guzzi Nevada or ever try parking a F4 Augusta) but I guess thats wot gives them charector. Ducati has come a long way in recent years, with paint & electrics, but I've always found them to be so unforgiving in riding position/suspension. But if I had the money (actually I do, but my wife ..............) I'd buy a Moto Morini

I was with you right up to those last few lines. But what the hell, let's just set down and have a Platts Folly and discuss it

Yeah well, I've been married 25 years (in about two weeks), so I know which side of the pie the sauce goes on. If you meant the Morini, I've always had a soft spot for em. & Hardcorp, I'm drinkin a Platts right now, nope make it the 2nd, just cracked the lid on it. I also just found out that my local is getting it on tap soon, something to do with the rantings of a crazy old biker.

I can't see how good looking a bike is when I am riding it, so as long as the bike isn't toofugly it is all about the ride and ease of ownership. That is a pretty bike, but i'm sure it is a pain to deal with as compared to a Honda.
