Sooner or later, everyone gets to feel that pain. Nearly knocked my bike over the other night in garage, no light on, walked passed bike & stumbled on the side stand, big wobble, came real close....

My buddy layed his bike (07' CBR 1000) down tonight right infront of me. His bike slid and spun over and over for about 200 feet and he slid on his back for about 100 feet, and rolled once just before he stopped. He was lucky as can be. The damage to bike Is Not that bad. And the damage to him is very minor. A sprained ankle some road rash on his legs and a cut on his little finger. I know he will be hurting in the am. I will go check on him tommorow. Friday the 13th struck again.

P.S. I got a bad feeling about this night when we left our bike night and right away came up on cops who were giving a guy C.P.R. right in the road. 10 miles later down he goes. I am not going to go into detail on why he went down. But after seeing the guy in the road, Who I found out from the Sheriff who stopped to help us, that the man did die on the way to the ER. I just knew something was going to happen on this ride.

Thank god he was wearing his gear. He will need a new jacket. There was not much left of it. But it did do the job. And yeah well kiss those jeans good buy.

Johnny- how did you get such a long post man!

Seriously - I hate to hear that about your friend and the guy in the road - there's always something wrenching about watching the last few minutes of someone's life. I'm not to upset about the bike and I think today I'm enough "not stiff" to get back on it and have another go. txn_driver came home from work to double check for himself that I was in one piece - afterwards I got the lecture of a life time to the effect of "Trying to save it was stupid - you just hurt yourself worse and cause me MORE to worry about"

Sorry to hear about your misfortune Tx. Glad you're able to come on here and type about it tho. Don't worry about the rashes... Adds character. You know the saying "you have riders that will go down or that already have" or something to that effect..lol

Cheer up and get back on her.

I discovered all of this to my chagrin over the subject :-) And even the rashed spots aren't really that bad by the light of day. I still had a good time this afternoon polishing her off before work!

hahah, so true about going overboard trying to keep vehicles looking mint. It's not worth the stress. Sure keep em clean and do your best, but dont be **** about it or youll just get disappointed. I just had my front end of my '05 Ford Ranger repaired and looking brand new about a 2 months ago. I ****in smacked it all up last week. Lol. Sucks, but oh well. I give up.
