I have very unproudly done it once. Thank God nothing happened.

and I rode for the worst of reasons - female buns - actually maybe thats the best of reasons.

Now I have a very strict - No alcohol or no ride.

agree!!!! and I wasn't really considering it, I wanted to see if at any point experienced riders did...me=not experienced

I usually drink before or after. I still haven't figured out a way to drink and ride simultaneously......

But seriously... just don't do it, peeps. It's not worth it.
Like Steve said, you need all your concentration. Plus, alcohol has a way of messing with your inhibition, and then stupidity can snowball.

I've got a decent tolerance when I drink, 3 or 4 drinks for a small buzz, but strictly on principle I won't touch a drop before I ride.

I've built a reputation for being a gin and tonic guy, so when I go out with friends and I'm on the bike I have sprite and lime. No one ever gives me a second look and most of the bartenders give it to me for free for being a DD.

Have 1 drink today, there will be 1 another. 1 drink then may become 2....and so on....better just to say no...
