You're doing yourself a favor.Make no excuses.You've made a good choice so stick with it.If others don't like it too bad.I drink like a fish but never push it on anyone or think badly of someone who refuses a drink.Some people actually make good decisions.

Mate ..in this day and age , it ain't that rare to run into non drinkers ...
I would not give it a thought really if I were you ...
Prolly the only real side effect from your choice is that as far as peer group pressure goes ....drinkers, like all specific groups of people, tend to hang together ....that's just the way it is unfortunately...
If I meet a non drinker and offer them a drink and they refuse , I only think to my self ....hey that was a cheap shout mate... its not a big deal to me and it does leave more for me too
I certainly do not think the guy is weird or rude for saying no.... you stick to your guns on this one :-)
BTW-
My only drinking problem is, that when I try to pour the chit down my throat to fast , it leaks bloody everywhere out the corners of my gob ..

In life people tend to gather , socialize and play in groups...
These groups make up what most of the time we call our peer groups.
Have you ever noticed that lets say for some example's
... basket ball players will tend not to hang out with football players
....or lets sat motor car racing drivers, they will tend not to hang out with motor cycle racers..
....perhaps yachting guys will tend not to hang out with power boat enthusiasts..
and on a more tragic level , drug addicts tend not to hang out with straight people...
My Point :
May be it is the case, that if you do not drink, or seem to fit in with your drinking mates , or feel uncomfortable with being around drinkers ....that you might want to re think who you are hanging out with ???

I hate it when you pick up the can and by mistake , tip it up with the hole edge of the can at the top and not at the bottom.....and the chit just pours all over my face like a gusher from hell....

May be it is the case, that if you do not drink, or seem to fit in with your drinking mates , or feel uncomfortable with being around drinkers ....that you might want to re think who you are hanging out with ???

I completely understand what your saying m8. Yah it is true that a lot of my drinking 'friends' are pretty much idiots =P. But I found that not all drinkers are hopeless, some actually rock my sox ^^
Most of the guys here are drinkers and yet everyone is encouraging me not to drink and be myself. Everyone here is freakin cool
Classic, if I tried to avoid drinkers, I would have to stay home all day playing World of Warcraft. Plus I wouldnt get to hang out with ya, since you drink.
I think we should have a balance of both worlds; if it is too one sided it gets booring.

I have met guys that pretty much avoid hanging out with drinkers friends , but as you said , they and there lifestyles seem to be pretty bloody boring ..
I thought I would just rattle a little human behavior stuff out in my prior post to assure you that it ain't that uncommon NOT to feel the way you are ATM ...or just in case you were feeling a little strange by all this ....
I am glad you choose to hang out with guys like us here on the CBRF...
even when nice guys like our mate Pace post up things like this below ...

i drink occasionally but personally i dont like it that much
it doesnt taste that good, and if i drink heavy i always regret it the next day
i wouldnt worry about it, and def dont drink because someone else wants you to
only do it if you want to
but it is a cool thing to say youve never drank anything, and once you do, you wont be able to say that again. you only have one V card, lol
