get a bridgestone battalax mannnn, also ive heard good things about pilot power, and qualifier, just call around where you live, because if you order online and get the tire cheaper you may hafta pay shipping, which will kinda make up the difference, and some places charge extra to put a tire on if yu didnt buy it from them

I run my 600 on the Bridgestones 020's, their great for those ****ty straight hauls and are great in the twisties and in the wet.
have had good milage out of them, front much better than the rear of course (about 10000klms or 6000 miles and still has a few kays left). Had the rear for about 5000klms, 3000 miles with no real wear problems. I like Bridgestones, So I go with wot I know. Had an 012 on the rear before this one and it wore pretty fast, especially on those freeway trips, for every kay I rode, I would mentally go "that's $2", "another $2".......
Rear tyre wear depends on how much of rev head you are and wot your carrying on the back.
Had a look at your links and you have chosen a great lot to pick from, I've heard the Diablo's are also a great tyre, my buddy runs one on the rear of his GSX1400, and a throttle miser her ain't.

I've had awesome luck with Dunlops (D207, 208 and now Qualifiers) so I would always recommend them.

Pick up the October issue of Sport Rider and look at the write up for the new Pilot Power CT's. Sounds like that would be a good match for the riding you described.

Thanks guys, but I didn't get to wait to order any. Today walking out to the bike at lunch I noticed a white ring about 2 inches wide in the center of my tire! Called the shop where I got my bike and the salesman said he would help me out in a bind. I got a Dunlop D208 for $140 + $30 to take it off, mount and balance. Was this a good deal or did he just make it sound good? He said they sell the tires for $210.00? Does that sound right? Oh well, had no choice. 54 miles from home and belts hanging out.

Dude - If you really ride that hard on the sides, then you'd be a fool to compromise on tires. Riding that hard on anything but primo rubber is asking for downtime. I can't say enough good things about Michelin Pilot Power. Superfast warmup time, AWESOME dry & wet grip, and stupidly sticky. Drag anything you like - knees, elbows...

Get them here>> TIRES Best prices anywhere.

I SAY AGAIN DO NOT, DO NOT BUY DUNLOP Qualifiers. You will be spending alot of money for tire replacements. If you do alot of back and forth commuting then go with the Bridgestones or dunlop makes a sport touring tire that you will get around 10000 miles on. I have a friend that uses those on his R1. Hes pretty close to 8k plus on those tires and I already had to change mine out at 4600. I run the Qualifiers. NOT a commuting tire. Especially if you out here in CALI

3 words Metzler M3's. Or is that 2 words? Or 1 word and a letter and a number? Or 1 word 2 letters and a number? Hmmmmm....... Well, you get the picture. It's a great tire.
