Does everything have to happen to me? honestly... does it?
So I'm riding to school this morning and am in need of gas. Swing by the gas station and fill er up. Notice the rear is pretty squishy feeling. I go over to the air machine and start filling it up. I'm thinking, "wtf these tires have 330 miles on them and they are low on air?"
Yeah, so there is some sort of nail sticking out of them. Needless to say, I am pissed.
Brand new pilots, everything happens to me.
Good news is my local bike shop (small shop, owned and operated by one peoson) will patch it for me. Of course he's never done it before, but I told him I'll sign a waiver deeming him not liable if something happened. Its really small, and right in the tread right in the middle. Now I'm just waiting on my fedex package today, it has my sprockets in it.
Doing it all at once. This all has to be done by 4... i think I'm screwed.

I know there is a lot of debate if plugs are safe for bikes, but I have two in my back tire.
Picked up to small finish nails some how. I have used plugs in cars, suvs and bikes with out problems.
They are basicly rubber/tar and bond with the tire once it warms up.
I have one in my suburban that has been there for 2 years/45,000 miles, and the two in my bike has over 5 months/3000 miles on them.
They sell motorcycle plug kits, so they gotta be ok, maybe not good for the track.

I saw that you saidpatched, patching is better that plugging, and was just stating that I have never had a problem with a plug,
so you should be more than good with a patch.
so you should be more than good with a patch.

People are afraid to do it...
I've heard success stories (like yours) plenty of times, but I've never read "So I plugged my tire and before I knew it I was on my *** bouncing down the road going 70"
