Default do you ever

Do you ever hit the horn button after you flick your turn signal on? The first time I spent any real time on the bike and I think I did this like 10 times. People looking at me wondering why I was honking at them lol. I've also been catching myself not turning the signal off, two or three minutes down the road and it's still blinking. I guess I'm just too used of the auto cancel in the cages.

Yeah I used to do that too. Probably would still if I hadn't removed it altogether (got in the way of the front stand). Was going to re-attach it but nobody can hear that little thing anyways. I'm pretty good with canceling the signals though. What I really hate doing is missing 2nd gear when pulling hard off a light, feel like a total dweeb when I do that, lol.

I've done that a couple times with my heavy gloves on. And today I must have rode 2 miles with the blinker on, the lower part of my helmet blocks my view of the blinker indicator so its easy to miss..... makes you feel pretty stupid when you realise it.... I have other horn issues too. I have my garage door opener tied into the horn button and a switch to shut the horn off so I can open the garage without letting all the nieghbors hear about it. Well my daughter lives the next street over, I drove by the other day, honked the horn at her and when I got home, the garage was open, I was like:WTF, then it hit me what had happened, I didnt know that opener would work from so far away! LOL

That's an ingenious idea. I was wondering of something to use the switch for; awesome

I think everyone probably goes the horn while dabbing for the cancel button. I had a bike back in 79' that had self canceling blinkers (& it was a Yamaha!) Don't know why they can't do the same on other bikes. My BMW K had a weird set up with blinker buttons, one on each side of the bars, with the cancel on each button. Guess its the same with European cars, had a Renault once & even after 2 years still managed to get the wipers going instead of the indicators.

Done it several times on the CBR.

My 82 Kawi has self canceling blinkers after 800 feet. That's 14 years older. Is the technology that advanced they couldn't incorporate it to these?
