Default DMV circle test.

I am pretty sure 99% of you already did this cicle run to get your motorcycle license test... I went out there to pratice today and i noticed they painted a new circle which is SMALLER than the older one... Anyone got any tips on how to keep yourself up and going at slow speed? Are you allowed to go at idle speed or will they make you go slower? I am having hard time completing the radius turn even when i completly turn the handle bar... This thing is tough hehe any advice is appreciated.

You gotta turn the bike into the circle while keeping your weight to the outside. With practice you should be able to go 3mph and still balance. Make sure your eyes are looking where you're going and not 2 feet in front of you or you'll never pass. If there are any classes still open you should check into a MSF course -- you'll get PLENTY of practice

Yeah circle and figure 8 tests. I passed mine just fine. Do as chain says and you'll be fine. I practiced in a circle even smaller than the one at the actual test. That bike will turn, just need to balance it properly and feather the throttle just right. You'll be fine.

Ha -- the test 20 years ago in GA was drive in a big figure 8 two times -- boom! ya got your license The test now is a real hassle because it takes about 20-30 minutes and it's sloooooooooow speed stuff. I failed it the first time because I kept going to fast -- I was doing the maneuver correctly but he said I did it too fast. I said "it don't go any slower" -- he said "you failed." Bastard.

In most states now, if you take the MSF class and pass, you don't have to take the test at the DMV. The MSF class is the best mod you can do for yourself and your bike.

Yes, I have a sophisticated technique for you. When you get to the dmv, you pull the guy who is going to give you the test over to the side and throw him a fifty. I love the US.

I took the MSF course in Okinawa, Japan on Kadena Air Force Base. We had to do a figure 8 inside of a rectangle without going outside the lines and without putting our feet down. Listen to Chain...use the throttle only and lean to the outside. Practice and you'll be fine.
