After a lot of research, I bought a Canon SD700IS as my second camera (I already own an SD500).

Bottom line- Awesome camera! Image stabilization = no blurred photos and the batterylife is UNBELIEVABLE! It even outrated the camera which replaced it (SD800IS)

ive had alot of cameras and i think my fav is a cannon or a sony but i dont like the fujis because alot of times they are slower than other cameras. what will you be taking pics for? just fun or professional.

Sorry, I havent been on in over a day so I havent been able to respond. I dont have to have 10x digital zoom, bt it would be nice to have a powerful zoom. I understand about the picture quality with more zoom, less clear, I just want to have the ability if I do need it. I go to a lot of races and stuff so it would be nice to zoom in on stuff from further away. Pictures will just be everyday pictures of the animals, my girl, my bike, etc etc. Nothing major, I would just like a nice camera and have something to use if I need it.

I have aa older Sony Cybershot...think its about 3 years old....still takes good pictures, but I really like my moms Kodak Easyshare M753...she got it for $120 last week, and its small and takes some awsome pictures

But until my Sony dies, I wont be buying another camera for awhile, I dont take a whole lot of pics, just some here and there

A couple ofthings to keep in mind is where you buy your camera from. We bought our's from Costco, because they have a freaking incredible warranty on their cameras. If it ever breaks (not dropping it), you just return it, and they give you an equal replacement. It's where we bought our Canon from, and I proceeded to drop the camera a week later. I called Canon and had a replacement part a few days later. I was impressed with Canon'scustomer service.

I paid 400 bucks for a Sony cybershot dsc-p92 years ago, it finally died a few weeks ago. Replaced it with a cheap 120$ camera that has better settings and functions, and even takes a better picture.. gotta love technology.
