Welp... I'm gettin antsy in my pantsy, and need to find a new 600RR soon or I might lose my mind. When you guys who bought your bike brand new from a dealership, were you able to get them to throw in anything without adding to the price?

I had a guy come into my store the other day with a jacket and helmet on, so I asked him what kind of bike he rode. He said an 08 Red/Black 600RR that he got from a dealer in Ohio (we are located in PA, but close to the state line) back in February. I asked him what kind of deal he got since I havent had much luck recently with the local dealerships here... $8799 before tax/title/fees and the extended warranty. He told me he got his for $8200 and the dealer gave him an extended warranty at no charge. Now I was skeptical, but I kept talking to the guy and he seemed very honest, not trying to hide anything.

Did anyone else barter with their dealer to get any extra stuff? I.e. - warranty, jacket, helmet, parts, etc.

 

My buddy bought a 05 zx6r from a dealer new he tried to get them to do warranty buy they wouldnt do it. They finally caved and gave him a life warranty on wheels and tires no matter what brand but nothing else.

 

my 08 cbr600rr was 11k otd w/ a 4 or 5 year honda warranty and gap protection..i also got a grand worth of gear for free..
