It´s kind of like when you need to talk to someone that you really dislike. You automatically take whatever that person says as offensive.

Can you point me to exactly where either of these (which I have read completely) say I am not allowed to bump a thread I find amusing?

Old threads should be bumped only if they were found in a search and are being posted in to add to, or extract information. This method reduces the number of *gasp* repost that we get.
