If you haven't went to see Batman yet bow your heads in shame it is so good. The discussion on Heath Ledger's performance being oscar worthy will forever be clouded by his untimely death but it was pretty damn good imo. You will not be dissapointed in it. There is a car wreck in the movie ( I don't do spoilers) but it will make you cry when you see what it is and it was real no cg.

Once again, I am more enthralled with the villian than the hero. Can the Academy give an award to a dead actor ? The Batbike did not corner well, but it did climb a wall. Very entertaining movie.

Yes they can...a posthumous award. There is already talk of him getting it...

Took the wife to The Dark Knight last night. I did find myself watching the clock at times. It seemed todrag,a few times I thought, "Well, this must be leading up to the end," but nope, it went another half hour or so. The bike was cool looking, but someone above is right - it would take Batmagic to make it handle. Heath Ledger did an incredible job as the Joker. A perfect interpretation of a total psycho. Gotta hand it to everyone else, too. Great acting all around, great effects. My only gripes are that our theater cranked the sound to ear-paining levels, and the movie seemed to drag. That gives it an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10.
