My mom was over her friend’s house this weekend baking cookies for the holidays. Of course if you have done this yourself, you have a fair idea on the amount of time and effort this involves. So, yesterday (Wednesday), we had plans to go to BJ’s Wholesale club. Turning onto her street, I notice my mom pulling up her driveway. I pull in behind and get out and wait for her to finish getting out of her vehicle.

As we greet each other, she glances down to her back step and says, “sonofabitch”. Puzzled I look down and see her cookie tins, haphazardly sprawled on her back step. “I don’t believe them”, she exclaims. Still a little confused, she informs me that her friend had left the cookie they baked. All I could see were 2 empty tins with their lids askew. The local gang of squirrels took off with all but 5 cookies. Based on the trace evidence, one of the little hoodlums apparently wasn’t in a rush when he sat on the railing and ate few of them.

I laughed hysterically.

 

I thought it was going to be about someone breaking into a house or your bike got stolen. Damn squirrels!

 

Man sorry to hear. Maybe its time for your mom to get some survalince cameras? This will just be the start of it now that they know she is an easy target...

I'm goin squirrel hunting this weekend, if that makes you feel better. And if that's not redneck enough for the rest of you, i'm actually going to take part in a squirrel hunting competition. Yummy!!!!

ButI love Squirrels. I feed them at my apt complex all the time. I have to keep the girlfriend away from them though. Shes from Mississippi. And eats them!
