Default Dainese D-Air Wearable air bag

The 2010 fashion line up for motorcycle riders and speed freaks has to be the Dainese "D-Air" wearable airbag. I know that I am going to try to get my hands on one!

I like it, I am skeptical however
how does it know when you activate? is it kind of a sensor mechanism? if it detects a hard hit to deploy who is to say that it won't deploy if you hit a hard bump, pothole or something.

Like I said I like it I just need to do more reseach on it to see how it works I guess.

^^ +1.

Does it work like the cards you attach to your waste on a treadmill? What's to stop this from blowing up at any time and making you look like "Tommy Boy" on the plane?

Also, I can't imagine how this will really save ANY lives. A majority of slow speed accidents result in brush burns to the arms, legs, and lower torso, none of which are protected by this. Additionally, this isn't going to do sh*t for a high speed accident except end up in little red pieces.

^ Looks like it might stabilize the helmet.

It offers more protection to the head and neck area. Although it may not be practical yet, i dont see how more protection can be a bad thing in any way.
