Curious.........re kit
Now i've been trawling through loads of pics on this site and reading alot of comments.
I realise that alot of you guys are stateside, but why do some many people NOT WEAR ANY PROTECTIVE GEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is the Tarmac softer over there?
Personally, i dont even go to the shops unless im fully kitted.
Boots
Full leathers
Gloves
Lid
This is no dig, i'm really just interested in your reasons.
cheers

I always wear a lid, jeans, leather shoes, sometimes a jacket sometimes not.. depends on the temp but my reason for not having other gear is a crappy one...
money...
i know most will say if you dont have money for all the gear then dont get a bike....
but
in the meantime Ill just keep riding safe and stay off the interstate till i get some

Don't you know?
The streets really are paved in Gold. Although due to the heavy gold reserve sell offs by the federal bank, they've had to reclaim most of it leaving behind a bed of virtual hard core. Most people these days are calling it snow.
I have to agree with you though, the plethora of non gear riders is worrying.
Think about it though. What happens when it gets hot here. There's always some **** riding like a lune in shorts and plimmeys. Perhaps it's just that there's less of us than there is of them over there.
Dunno.....
I walk to the shops.

well for what i would invest in which is "good gear" $200-$300 jacket $150-$200 pair of boots, $100 riding gloves ill probably just stick with jeans with possibly some padded leggings ive seen out there

my gear has lasted me 5 years with no show of wear.
If i was to work that out on a monthly basis, thats $10 a month.
Is your body/life not worth a little investment?
