Just figured i'd rant a little bit about how funky the weather's been here lately.

Yesterday it was high 70's and sunny.

Yesterday evening I spent the night with my family hunkered in a closet while winds decided to rip shingles off my roof and blow the kids wooden jungle gym/swingset (which was staked in the ground) into the nearby creek.

Today wake up and its 35 degrees out. I was like wtf. So now i'll be repairing the hole in the roof tonight in the cold. fml.

At least we weren't hurt, but i just figured i'd rant a little. Thanks for listening.

 

it was 70 here yesterday and got down to 21 last night...

it is rather irotic... perhaps nuclear influence on the climate? via japan?

 

Thats a ***** alright man. As you said at least everyone was ok and the stuff can be fixed

 

heh, if nuclear fallout from japan is affecting ohio, you west coast guys are screwed.

 

50's here a couple days ago..spring was here, snow was all but gone cept for the banks and Wham!!... woke up to a foot of snow and another 4"s thru out the day... I got 6 more yrs here then we're heading for 365 riding.

We set a record high of 83*F here in St. Louis last Thursday. Broke the old record from 117 years ago. Three days prior to that it snowed nearly 4 inches at my house. Today we're back to mid 30s for the temp and they say it is going to be about 10 degrees colder than normal for the next week.

I thought when the groundhog didn't see its shadow last month it meant that spring was supposed to be here sooner than normal, not later. Ah well, it'll hopefully warm up by July.

 

its cold as hell here but sunny. im going for a ride, will put some extra shirts on.

 

Yeah same thing here it was 50* a few days ago, then tuesday it started snowing/sleeting/hailing all day tues night there was thunder and lightning with a snow storm?!?! pretty unusual. Then in continued to snow all day yesterday. WTF the snow was just gone, now it looks like the middle of January again.

 

It snowed again today.

 

Last week It got warm out in Canada (about 44^F) and the snow on the roads melted and I got to ride for a couple days and 2 days ago had the bike out nice and sunny about 30^F and over night 10" of snow.
I hate when the weather teases you like that.
