its not a law over here just some petrol stations well alot of them make you take you helmet off before they will let you fill, stupid people
last time i asked why and they said its because i may be under age
i roll up on a bike and i may be under age how silly
I would guess that the helmet off thing (@ least in the US) would probably be more of a way for the security cameras to get a shot of your face if you decided to drive off w/o paying. Now that most gas stations require pre-pay, or pay at the pump, I guess it's not that big a deal to have essentially a "masked-man" pumping gas into a vehicle.
Hey - Oregon and New Jersey still don't allow you to pump your own gas, regardless.

I pay at the pump so I've never taken off my helmet. The one time I gassed up in Jersey, the guy let me pump my own gas. Might have been cause I told him I'd react poorly to gas spilled on my tank.
