He did start off being a smart *** at first. He should have just said he was waiting on a friend. Other than that the cop is a giant douche or maybe a turd sandwinch.

Glad I live in Texas. I've never met a bad cop. They may be a bad mood sometimes, but usually wont talk to you then. They'll just ask for ID, give you a ticket, then be on their way. Geess I hate tickets. O, sorry, citation.

When you need them they aren't there because they are sidetracked with Bull****. Whether it is giving a guy a ticket for his visor being up, or having his blinkers too close together or sitting in a poorly marked speedzone, they are not where you need them when you need them.

Everyone knows where to buy drugs, that how the guy that deals on the street makes money, where is the cop? He is sidetracked with Bull****. Why? because it is easy and it raises revenue.

I pay a decent amount of taxes ($5100/year property) and I want my home and community safe, I don't give a crap about 95% of what the cops do in my town. Go bust some dope dealer or some drunk driver, other than that who needs you to show up after the fact and take statements.

Everyone "thinks" they know where drungs are. Cops have to have a reason to stop someone on the street. Otherwise if they just drove up on the side of the road and stopped someone, people would be bitchin because they had no reason to stop them, and then people would make an uproar of that saying they had no reason to stop them!!!! Its a lose lose situation.

And having your visor up while riding is stupid. Would you go down the road without a windsheild????? No. ITs a safety issue. Even with glasses, if something hits you in the face, it hurts but ou can still see, and with glasses, it will act like a visor. So if you are riding with it up (not just cracked), you should get a ticket. Its not that its easy, because its the same amount of paper work as anything else. Its the fact that they have probable cause.

So you are saying if someone just smashed into your house, and left, and you know what happened, you dont need them to come find out who did it so they pay for it. You would rather just betough and pay for it your self then, since the police would only take a statement? Or if they just shot someone, since they are dead, they dont need to come??? Cause if thats the cause, you cannot rate in on severity, because of the fact they are doing the same thing, taking a statement. I just hate how people react. Its not like police are out there looking for you just to **** you off. There are laws for a reason: because in some point in time, it caused an issue where something went worng. Thus the reason there is a law to prevent it from happening again.

Would any of you want your kids to be pulled over and harrased by that guy ? I know I wouldn't, and if he keeps his job, he'll just do more of the same. Some people just don't have the temperment required for the job. I know I don't.
In the case of the second video, my answer is yes. If my kid got detained at a drunk drivingcheck-point, then was released as they didn't do anything wrong, I wouldn't care. Ultimately, these guys were trying to get drunks off the street that have a good chance of killing someone...namely MY KID! Iwill give leniency when the greater good is served. Do cops f_ck up...yes. Do copsmake my life and environment safer...yes. Would I trade a small percentage of idiots with a badge for my family's safety...yes. I can't think of a time that my rights were compromised by them. I've had a couple of them act like dicks, but I went home with no problems every time. The problem with these argumentsis, I am not going to change your mind, and you are not going to change mine. Oh well...please ride safe.

Maybe the cop was having a bad day. That I can accept but what I can't accept is his attitude. I think the cop was set off by the kids questioning him. I think it is in the kid's right to question the cop. Was the kid being a smartass; probably. Does he have a right to be a smartass; debatable but it's not againest the law. There is a fine line between being a smartass and disrespectful. Cops always have to be restrained and show absolute self-control when dealing with the public. If they don't then videos like this get put out on the internet and give those cops a bad name.

Here is the poster child for self-control. Video

Being a cop is just like any other job. The cop even says that. Like any job that you deal with people you have to have curtisy. Even if the person is a complete D.A. So yes, he did fail his job.

Looks like the kid in the video was setting the cop up.
Good observation Voodoo -- I agree.
