I use an uncle mikes inside carry. Just a plain simple pouch with a clip so I can tuck it inside my jeans/pants. It looks like this one, mostly

You can't go wrong with any of the mentioned I have a carry perm also I tote a ruger p97 with a decocker, anda smith 357 5" barrel. The glock is nice but the butt of the gun is thick so you have to have big hands I didn't like the way it felt. The snubb nose 357 from ruger is nice and carries a good punch. Be careful and be responsible.

Ugh, I have a 38 revolver. Sucks compared to S&W 9mm.... I'm not a fanatic, but I would recommend gun range rentals- get a feel for the different guns until you find one that comfortable, and least kick..(that's the fun part). The gun heads (no disrespect) would know better what advice to hand out to ya.
Good luck getting your permit. I took the class, no prob- it was sending my fingerprints to the government that worried me, so I chickened out. Since I live in a region where the crime is getting so bad I'm almost fearful whenever I leave my home, I'm rethinking that decision. but that's another story.

Voodoo, I'm just curious as to why you want your CWP. You live in a small town in Oregon, right? Do you work in a bad part of town? I'm all for owning guns... I even own one. I understand you want to protect your family, but I have my gun at home for that. I guess if someone wanted to attack me or my wife outside our home, they would have to deal with the 2 cannons attached to my torso! haha
Anyway, I would definitely go with the hammerless revolver you have linked to. IMO, if you need more than 5 shots to stop an attacker, you have no business carrying a weapon. Before anyone gets mad at me, notice I said "need" and not "have in case."
