Yes, thus the reason I got a new one...

So there is not way to like date it back to factory or anything without a CD?

Hey D2D,

Try using these and see if it helps. Pick the furthest back restore point it has saved.

And just for future reference. Create a restore point on your new computer before you load any of your data onto it. Write down the date of that restore point and keep it somewhere safe.

I HATE system restore. ****s up more than it helps.


No there is no way to go back to the time you very first started the pc. I'm still kinda confused on the logins/etc part. You talking about passwords? Um..write them down.

Correct ranger, all he wants to do is Restore the computer back to an unused state. Without any Saved Passwords/Important files/Bank Accounts/**** ...etc that he doesn't wantthe new owner to have

Yes the system restore can be a pain to work with, but he'll just need to have enough patiences to update any drivers/security updates/etc. Pretty much the only option he has unless he wants to create a BCD(Build CD) which isn't fun.
